Avipro for ornamental birds and fancy fowl

Avipro Plus is our gold-standard veterinary probiotic combination of bacteria, enzymes, electrolytes and vitamins. Its high palatability means it can be added to the drinking water making its use simple for all species. Avipro is perfectly safe and suitable for use in food species such as poultry - (table or egg laying).

AVIPRO PLUS contains:

•  Lactobacillus acidophilus which lives for a short time in the gut, helping to stabilise the pH.
• Fructo-oligosaccharide soluble fibre prebiotic to encourage the probiotics and make them even more effective. Soluble fibre also improves absorption
  
• Vitamin A, C and E to compensate tfor the losses occurring during stress and to maximise protection
  
• Electrolytes to aid in maintaining adequate levels during bouts of diarrhoea

For general use as a routine nutritional aid, 1 scoop per 200ml drinking water can be used. This is especially useful when animals diets are being changed or when they are being transported or rehomed.

When using Avipro 'in feed' use 1 generous pinch per kg of bird for routine use, or up to a third of a scoopper kg when birds are sick.

AVIPRO PLUS is particularly useful for birds which are stressed or undergoing antibiotic treatment, during which the normal gut flora may be seriously unbalanced by the treatment leading to the establishment of inappropriate bacteria, many of which can form toxins. It helps to minimise any disturbance to the normal gut flora caused by the use of antibiotics.
