ON-FOOD SUPPLEMENTS

For routine use in supplementing the healthy bird these are used together in a ratio of 1:2, and for ease they are available as a readimix - AVIMIX. These are all powders, for addition to the food.

IN WATER SUPPLEMENTS

We also have a liquid multivitamin (BSP drops) for addition to the water, although whenever possible we recommend the use of a powdered vitamin mineral mix in the food.

Zolcal D is a very important product. It is a combination of liquid calcium and vitamin D3 and is ideal for any situation where you may wish to dose directly or dose the drinking water.

Calcium lactate is also available, purely as a calcium source for supplementation where sufficient vitamin D3 is available from other sources.

HEALTH

AVIPRO was the first UK probiotic available for birds. Again developed in house this combination of probiotic organisms, electrolytes and dextrose was relaunched in 2004 as AVIPRO PLUS - now also has soluble fibre and high levels of vitamins A, C and E to help birds under stress.

Critical Care Formula (CCF) is a high energy and protein powder which can be mixed with water and given by direct administration off a spoon or via a gavage tube. It can also be sprinked on food. This is designed for support of birds which are not feeding properly (or at all).

Tamodine wound dressing is a special 'tamed iodine' - ideal for use on everything from chick navels to wounds and burns. It can be used straight from the bottle when necessary.

DISINFECTION

We have several disinfection products. Our key everyday product is ARK-KLENS, very safe, effective and a brilliant cleanser and recommended against psittacosis. For more serious disinfection we recommend Tamodine-E, an iodophor which is very effective against bacteria viruses and fungi.

Where a quick kill against PBFD or reovirus is needed then we suggest the more rapid acting C20.
