VETARK FOR SMALL CAGE BIRDS

Small cage bird breeders (finches, canaries, cockatiels, budgerigars etc) have special needs and have looked around for solutions, some complex others simple.The Vetark philosophy is always to to keep it simple. Keepers of larger parrots such as senegals, african greys, amazons and macws will find it more effective to use in feed supplements such as AVIMIX.

Our key supplements have been used and recommended with confidence by serious breeders and veterinary surgeons. All of our supplements contain the essential amino acid lysine to balance deficiencies in seed diets but other than that allow breeders to manipulate protein levels by long established methods.Whenever possible we recommend use of powdered in feed supplements since they can provide more than the water soluble route. These can be easily mixed into soft-food as a routine.

THE DOUBLE WHAMMY

If you can only use the water route for supplementation then use BSP and ZOLCAL-D on alternate days.

Use AVIPRO for birds which are off to a show, or just back., or perhaps just looking 'off' or even sick birds being treated with antibiotics.

VITAMIN MINERAL SUPPLEMENTS

AVIMIX
This product is a blend of our two key in-feed veterinary formulated high-potency vitamin supplements NUTROBAL and ACE-High. It provides an in-feed vitamin mixture with very high levels of the vitamins A, C and E, alongside the rest of the vitamins plus the calcium and vitamin D3 needed by breeding birds and young birds.These three are present for special reasons. All three vitamins are involved in maximising disease resistance. Vitamin E is also very important in breeding and muscle function. Available in 50g and 250g breeders pack.

BSP Vitamin Drops
When in-feed vitamins are difficult to use, BSP provides the ideal way of administering these key vitamins to cage birds.The range of vitamins in a water-soluble product cannot be as wide as those used in feed (AVIMIX )but we believe that BSP is the best. Available in 50ml and 100ml NEW Breeders pack.

ZOLCAL-D
This liquid calcium and D3 product is ideal for use with small cage birds.it gives an easy way of getting calcium into such birds.either by putting it into the water prior to breeding to avoid soft shell etc or by direct dosing when necessary. ZOLCAL-D represents a major leap forward,a palatable liquid containing high levels of calcium in the form of calcium borogluconate, combined with vitamin D3 and a low level of magnesium.
This is useful for quickly supplementing calcium levels where special needs exists.Available in 120ml, 500ml.

HEALTH PRODUCTS

AVIPRO
Stress and illness can kill birds rapidly,often through a gut upset leading to E.coli or Salmonella problems. AVIPRO is formulated to help to counteract the gut pH changes which these bacteria need to make for their survival. AVIPRO is extremely useful in a preventive role to help the bird resist such dangerous infections. AVIPRO should be used in the periods just before and just after shows or travel,and it is beneficial any time when the birds need to be given that little extra help. Available in 100g, 300g,and 1kg tubs.

CRITICAL CARE FORMULA
A veterinary formulated high energy liquid food which can be used at low concentrations in drinking water to help birds replace energy, or which can be made more concentrated (follow the instructions) and given by tube to weak or collapsed birds which may be having veterinary treatment. 150g, 500g tubs

TAMODINE
A veterinary ‘tamed ’ iodine for dressing wounds etc..

AVIARY DISINFECTION
ARK-Klens and TAMODINE-E give the bird owner a powerful combination for disease control in the aviary or breeding room. ARK-Klens is a superb cleanser and disinfectant, effective against Psittacosis /Ornithosis, and allows the cages or aviary to be thoroughly and effectively cleaned with birds in-situ. Use 10ml/gallon. Available in 250ml and 1 litre, and as a 550ml ready to use. As a final antivirus /antifungal treatment we recommend the use of TAMODINE-E during major ‘spring cleaning, available in 250ml and 1 litre.
