Q. How long will my Ark-Klens last for?
A. Stored correctly, Ark-Klens will continue to be effective for up to 2 years.
Q. On the Ark-Klens disinfectant, cleanser and deodoriser label it states “Simply spray on, leave for a minute and wipe off using kitchen towel.” Should it be rinsed off with water afterwards?
A. No, there is no need to wipe the surface down with water after the application of Ark-Klens. The active ingredient is widely used (including in contact lens solutions), and no significant residues will be left if you wipe down with kitchen towel.
Q. I have been using Ark-Klens ready-to-use 500ml to disinfect my bird feeders and equipment. I now have a 250ml concentrate container to recharge my spray, but am confused with the dilution instructions.
A. To make the ready-to-use solution you need to add 10ml of the concentrate to 500ml water to make up the spray. This is 10 times the dilution used when you make it in a bucket (10ml per 5 litres) but the usage is usually very different. As an example, the ready to use will be spray on wipe off, however when it’s made in a bucket usually things get wet and stay wet for a time; soaking bowls and other equipment, so the longer the contact time the lower the dilution.
Q. Can I use Ark-Klens on incubators and the eggs?
A. Yes, we recommend the use of Ark-Klens to disinfect and cleanse incubators and eggs. Simply use a sponge or toothbrush to gentle clean the surface.
